| The Roxy Invitational is not a complicated surfing event. It does the opposite actually, and strives to simplify the surfing contest process. The Roxy Invitational is a surf contest where 10 of the best female surfers in the country are invited to surf in an event at a remote location for the first prize of R10,000. It’s unique in format and location, and the remote Mozambican beach, with perennial good waves, is a far cry from the small waves and associated vibes of the normal contest venues along our metropolitan coastline belts. This very uniqueness is what makes the event enticing to local and international media. |
